Taherpour,.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> Nowadays, dynamic time history analysis of building structures using artificial acceleration records, which their spectra are matching with a specific design spectrum, is a vital part of seismic evaluation procedure. Wavelet transform is a powerful tool, which can be used to generate spectrum-matching acceleration records. This research includes two main parts: (1) generating artificial records with spectrum matched to a design spectrum by using Wavelet transform, (2) how to select and use these acceleration records for nonlinear dynamic time-history analysis. <br \/>First, based on similar site conditions but two different parameters; moment magnitude, and the closest distance to surface of fault rupture, four sets include 15 to 21 real acceleration records are gathered. Matching procedure is carried out on all members of the four sets. Second, after baseline correction of artificial records, nonlinear dynamic time-history analysis of a 16-story RC building, designed based on the Iranian earthquake load of practice; the Standard-2800, 3rd edition, against all artificial records are carried out. Seismic response of the building against each set are obtained and discussed in detail. Then, effect of various parameters of the real and artificial acceleration records are evaluated and compared.
