center;\"><strong>Infill Frame Interaction In Concrete Frames With Masonry Infill<\/strong><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: center;\">M . Parsa<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> In this experimental study, performance of concrete frames with masonry infill and effects of infill on behavior of frame are evaluated. Half scale one bay, one story reinforced concrete frame specimens are subjected to cyclic in plane loads. The surfaces of damaged specimens are then repaired and brick or hollow block infill is used as retrofitting technique. The efficiency of the retrofitting technique is evaluated by measuring different parameters such as changes in stiffuess, strength, energy dissipation and damage mechanisms in frame and infill. The results are also compared with the results of analytical studies. It is concluded that using brick masonry infill improves the performance of frame by increase in stiffuess, strength and energy dissipation capacity of frame.
